HISTORY

The ground began with just a clubhouse, one members box and grass embankments.  After the Crusaders began their successes in the first-class league in season 1, two new pavilions were built, one on each end of the wicket.  Included in these pavilions were new sightscreens.  At the end of season 2, a major upgrade occured where an additional 9,000 seats were created plus the renovation of the clubhouse.  Two large pavilions were built on the west end, replacing the grass embankments.  These two pavilions contain 30 member suites, 3 large dining rooms, a VIP entrance and the ticket office.  The upgrade to the clubhouse included a 2nd story, which is occupied by the dressing rooms of the two teams.  The first floor still houses the banquet hall, as well as the awards cabinets and a welcoming reception area.  The final part of the upgrade went to installing two electronic scoreboards, replacing the single old-fashioned scoreboard previously located at the East End.
